At the heart of our coaching and mentoring practice is Dave Starr — a leader with 30+ years of hands-on experience across operations, project management, commissioning, product development, and executive leadership. Having worked his way from electrical contractor in defence environments to managing director of a multi-division company, Dave brings a rare combination of practical business insight, strategic thinking, and people-first leadership.

Dave has built a career on driving performance, developing teams, and creating operational systems that work in the real world — not just on paper. With experience leading teams of 30+ years, collaborating with international partners, winning major tenders, managing multi-million-dollar project portfolios, and delivering high-stakes technical and commercial outcomes, he understands the pressures, complexity, and opportunity that come with running and scaling a business.

His approach to coaching is grounded in clarity, accountability, and practical strategy.
